Researchers from TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation participated in the final event of the AM2R Mobilizing Agenda – Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheel Sector, held on June 17 and 18, 2026, at the Águeda Arts Centre.
As part of this event, Tiago Gândara, Adriano Figueiredo, and Alexandre Cantadeiro had the opportunity to showcase a prototype of a smart bicycle developed as part of the research activities of the SFP Laboratory—the Flexible Production Systems Laboratory—under the guidance of Prof. José Paulo Santos. The event also included the presentation of scientific work carried out by graduate students and researchers affiliated with this unit.
The work presented resulted in nine indexed scientific publications, three of which are in the final stage of DOI assignment, reflecting the team’s significant scientific contribution within the scope of this agenda.
The AM2R agenda, funded under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), brings together universities, companies, and industrial clusters with the aim of promoting innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness in the two-wheel sector. The final event highlighted the main results achieved and the impact of collaboration between research and industry.
TEMA’s presence at this event reinforces its involvement in national collaborative initiatives and its contribution to the development of advanced technological solutions with industrial applications.
