Researchers from TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation, University of Aveiro, carried out a scientific visit to the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC) in Madrid between 29 June and 2 July 2026, within the framework of the international project I-LINK25007, funded through the CSIC I-LINK 2025 Call.
The TEMA delegation included researchers Duncan Fagg, Francisco Loureiro, Vanessa Graça, and Allan Araújo. During the visit, several scientific activities took place, focusing on the development of technologies for electrolysers and ceramic fuel cells, fostering knowledge exchange between the Portuguese and Spanish teams.
The programme included a visit to the ICV-CSIC laboratory facilities, technical and scientific presentations delivered by researchers from both institutions, and several working meetings dedicated to identifying new collaboration opportunities.
The final scientific session provided an opportunity to share recent results, discuss scientific and technological challenges, and define joint lines of action for the project's development. The complementary expertise and research infrastructures of the two institutions provide a solid foundation for strengthening this international partnership and advancing high-impact research.
The TEMA researchers would like to thank Domingo Pérez-Coll and Glenn Mather for the invitation, the warm welcome, and the spirit of scientific collaboration that characterised this visit, and look forward to continuing their joint work in the next stages of the project.
