XXI ENEEB - National Meeting of Biomedical Engineering Students

ENEEB is the largest national meeting of Biomedical Engineering students, promoting the exchange of experiences between students and professionals in the field. The current edition is the 21st and took place at the University of Aveiro from March 5 to 8, 2026.

As part of the XXI ENEEB, TEMA played an active role by showcasing its expertise in the area through a set of activities, including lectures, workshops, and guided visits, namely:

  • Lecture: “Smart Biomaterials: From the Laboratory to Regeneration and Local Treatment”, by Paula Marques – Principal Researcher and Coordinator of TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation.

  • Workshop: “Development of Mechanical Systems for Spectral Computed Tomography”, by Rui Moreira – Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Aveiro, and Researcher at TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation and LASI – Associated Laboratory for Intelligent Systems.

  • Workshop: “Tumor-on-Chip Meets Nanomedicine – a Microfluidic Approach”, by Gil Gonçalves – Assistant Researcher at TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation.

  • Visits to TEMA Laboratories, guided by:  
    Nathalie Barroca – PhD Researcher at TEMA    
    Luís Nascimento – Research Fellow at TEMA   
    Luciana Rocha – Senior Technician for Quality and Laboratories at TEMA
