The Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA) at the University of Aveiro is developing a scientific collaboration with the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Brazil, within the scope of the sandwich PhD programme of the student Letícia Zibetti, funded by CAPES.
The work is supervised in Brazil by Dr. Clarissa Frizzo and accompanied in Portugal by Dr. Paula Marques, director of TEMA. During her stay, the researcher also worked closely with Dr. Nathalie Barroca and PhD student Luís Nascimento, in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
The project focuses on the development of nanoformulations for controlled drug release, using electrospinning and 3D printing technologies. The work was carried out at TEMA during the researcher’s stay between October 2025 and March 2026, taking advantage of the centre’s expertise and infrastructure.
