TEchMA is the annual international conference organised by TEMA, focusing on Technologies for Well‑Being, Sustainable Manufacturing Solutions, and Intelligent Systems.

The TEchMA conferences provide a platform for sharing scientific knowledge, strengthening connections between researchers from TEMA and the University of Aveiro, and external research entities, thereby contributing to the centre’s excellence.

Engineering Sustainable Futures: Materials, Systems and Technologies for Society

TEchMA is the annual conference of TEMA – Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation, bringing together researchers, PhD students and external partners to discuss engineering solutions for societal challenges.

The 2026 edition reflects the diversity and relevance of the research carried out within TEMA and its collaborative network, promoting scientific exchange, interdisciplinary dialogue and industry engagement.

Call for Abstracts – DEADLINE EXTENDED

The abstract submission deadline has been extended to June 9, 2026.

We invite researchers and PhD students to submit their work and actively contribute to the scientific programme.

Important dates:

  • Abstract submission: June 9, 2026 (new deadline)

  • Notification of acceptance: June 17

  • Revised abstract submission: June 25

  • Poster submission: June 30

All accepted contributions will be presented in poster format, with a selection invited for oral presentation.
