The Moulding and Injection Laboratory (LMI) specializes in the study, development and optimization of polymer processing technologies, supporting scientific research, industrial innovation and advanced training in the field of polymer materials and processing.
Core Competencies
- Development and optimization of injection moulding processes, including parameter definition, stability assessment and quality control.
- Numerical simulation to support process parameterization and optimization, as well as mould tool design.
- Processability studies of conventional, technical and composite materials, including biopolymers and recycled materials.
- Development and fabrication of prototypes and pre‑series parts, including support for mould design.
- Analysis of injection defects and industrial troubleshooting, with solution proposals based on experimental and simulation‑based diagnostics.
- Advanced experimental testing for performance evaluation.
- Support for collaborative R&D projects with industry and academic institutions.
