Bruno Machado Carneiro. Completed the Bachelor's degree in Biology in 2022 at University of Aveiro, and Master's degree in Microbiology in 2024 by University of Aveiro. Published 4 international peer-reviewed article (2 as first author), and 2 poster presentations in international congresses and 1 in a national congress. Works in the area(s)of Natural sciences: 1)potential of fungi and bacteria to improve agricultural production; 2)bioremediation strategies with emphasis on metals as contaminants; 3)effects of microplastics in PGPB; 4)plant growth-promoting microbes (PGPB) and their role in mitigating microplastic contamination in soil. His methodological skills are: 1)Techniques for characterization of microplastics; 2)markers of physiological and biochemical status of plants; 3) microbiological methodologies; My research integrates microbiology, environmental science, and sustainable agriculture to explore biological solutions that enhance plant resilience and soil health. With expertise in microplastics, PGPB, and white rot fungi, I investigate the impact of micro and nanoplastics on bacterial functions and plant growth. I aim to contribute to agricultural sustainability and address emerging environmental challenges through innovative and interdisciplinary research. Currently, Bruno is doing his PhD with an FCT grant since January 2026 (2025.00596.BDANA)
