Computational Mechanics Framework

Competencies

The Computational Mechanics Framework at TEMA is a virtual and distributed infrastructure that provides a transversal capability supporting most of the unit’s Research & Development activities.

Although not concentrated in a single physical laboratory, this platform brings together computational resources, specialized software, and scientific know‑how distributed across several research groups and facilities within TEMA, enabling advanced studies in modelling, simulation, and numerical analysis.

Access to high‑performance workstations, leading scientific software, and the expertise of TEMA’s researchers represents a critical capability for projects in materials, structures, energy, biomechanics, manufacturing processes, and complex mechanical systems.

The Computational Mechanics Platform operates in close integration with TEMA’s experimental laboratories, fostering research approaches that combine numerical simulation, experimental validation, and technology development geared towards industry and society.
