Description

This 3D printer features three pneumatic extrusion heads and enables 3D printing of multifunctional and multi-material devices through the integration of the following technologies:

i) extrusion of suspensions/pastes,
ii) microvalve-based deposition printing,
iii) electrohydrodynamic jet printing,
iv) melt electrowriting.

All these technologies can also include UV-assisted curing/photo-crosslinking.

Applications: From flexible electronics to high-resolution sensors, energy harvesting, micro-optical components, and regenerative medicine. The system is integrated into a Class II biological safety cabinet, allowing work under sterile conditions and the printing of platforms for regenerative medicine with spatial cell control or acellular constructs at anatomical scale.
