9th Edition of Mec In Touch: Department of Mechanical Engineering Days
The Mechanical Engineering Students’ Group of the University of Aveiro (NEEMec) presents the 9th edition of Mec In Touch, the Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Automation Engineering Days, which will take place from 24 to 26 February at the University of Aveiro.
Mec In Touch aims to bring students closer to the business and industrial sectors, providing a space for knowledge sharing and networking between students, professionals and companies in the field.
Over the course of three days, in an event that spans all engineering disciplines, participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures and roundtables with experts, take part in practical workshops and engage directly with a wide range of companies.
The event opens on 24 February with an opening session, followed by a speed‑interview workshop, helping participants prepare for the interview sessions with companies scheduled for the final day. The afternoon will feature a lecture on motorsport, a roundtable on extracurricular projects and a materials workshop, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to the event.
On 25 February, the programme includes a Lean Six Sigma workshop, followed by a roundtable on automation and artificial intelligence in industry. The day concludes with a robotics workshop, focusing on the challenges and advancements in this technological field.
The event culminates on 26 February with the speed‑interview session, where students will have the opportunity to interact directly with recruiters from various companies in a dynamic and enriching format. The afternoon will feature the Career Fair, an essential moment for networking and exploring professional opportunities, closing the event on a high note.
