Ricardo Ascenso Inácio is currently a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro (October 2025–2029) and a PhD Student Fellow at the Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA), University of Aveiro, within the project “Research and development of additive manufacturing solutions for metals and hybrids for power transformers” (January 2026–June 2026). He completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro (September 2023–July 2025), with the dissertation “Experimental Study of PEEK Composites Infiltrated into Alumina Structures by Hot Pressing” (19/20 dissertation grade). He previously obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (September 2020–July 2023). His research focuses on advanced composite processing, namely polymer-infiltrated ceramic network (PICN) routes using PEEK on gyroid alumina structures, with dissemination through conference abstracts, posters and oral presentations.
