Sofia Rocha scientific activity began in 2019 with a research work that lead to the award of a Master Degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, awarded at the University of Aveiro (Aveiro - PT). Currently, she is working as researcher at TEMA - Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation at the University of Aveiro. Her main research effort is to contribute to the development of new methods and approaches for the optimal design of temperature control systems for hybrid molds. Nonetheless, it should be stand out that her research interests lie on issues related with heat transfer, fluid mechanics and materials science. She is also, currently, a member of the Pedagogical Council of the University of Aveiro and of the Support Team for Curricular and Pedagogical Innovation.
