I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Aveiro and an integrated researcher at TEMA. My scientific activity combines computational modelling, experimental analysis, and sustainability-oriented engineering, with a focus on computational fluid dynamics, thermofluid systems, heat transfer, process optimisation, and the valorisation of recycled materials. I have developed research in academic, industrial, and public-interest contexts, translating scientific knowledge into technical decision support and solutions with environmental and technological relevance. To date, I have accumulated more than 300 citations, more than 21 scientific publications, an h-index of 10, around 65% of publications in first-quartile journals, and around 70% of outputs as first author. In parallel, I have been involved in more than 8 technical consultancy activities and supervised more than 13 MSc dissertations in Mechanical Engineering. Overall, this trajectory reflects a scientific profile grounded in the articulation between modelling, experimentation, industrial application, and sustainability-oriented engineering.
