Duarte Almeida completed the Master’s degree in Biomedical Materials and Devices in December 2022 at the University of Aveiro, where since September 2023 he has been pursuing a PhD in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology. He worked as a Research Fellow in the CarboNCT project until October 2024, where he obtained a national PhD grant by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Currently, he is a Double-PhD candidate in partnership with the University Medical Centre of Groningen (UMCG) in the Netherlands, where he works in the areas of Biomaterials and Biomedical Technology. In his CV, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific and technological production are: Microfluidics; Glioblastoma; 3D cell culture models; Neutron capture; Carbon Quantum Dots; Targeted Nanodelivery; Theranostics.
