Bárbara Santos Oliveira Baptista

Bárbara is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Aveiro and a research fellow at Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA). She has an integrated master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same university. Her master's thesis focused on developing surface texturizations and angiogenic and bioactive coatings for dental implants, earning the maximum grade (20/20). She has presented her research at conferences and actively contributed to academic communities, co-founding the award-winning EMBS Student Chapter at her university. She also has international experience, having participated in the Erasmus+ programme at the University of Twente, The Netherlands.
