Antonio Pascale is an Invited Assistant Professor in the Department of Environment and Planning at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He completed his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2016 at the University of Salerno, Italy, with a final grade of 107/110 (converted in 19/20 in the Portuguese system), while he completed his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 in the same institution with a final grade of 109/110 (converted in 20/20 in the Portuguese system). He was a research fellow for the MobiWise project, financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology - FCT, from June 2019 to December 2020. In October 2020, Antonio Pascale enrolled in the Doctoral Program of Energy Systems and Climate Change at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, which also involves international collaboration with the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Salerno. In the same period, his Ph.D. project was funded by FCT, reaching the third position at the national level in his research area. He successfully defended his Ph.D. in September 2024, receiving merit and distinction. His main research areas are related to noise modeling, noise emission models, road traffic noise models, and road traffic exhaust emissions. Antonio Pascale published 10 research papers in important international journals (7 as first authors) and is the author of 10 conference proceedings. He served as a reviewer for the following international journals: Environmental Monitoring and Assessment (Springer Nature); Applied Acoustics (Elsevier); Science of the Total Environment (Elsevier); Environmental Advances (Elsevier); Noise Mapping (De Gruyter); The Journal of Acoustical Society of America (AIP Publishing); African Transport Studies (Elsevier); Environmental Science and Pollution Research (Springer Nature); Transportation Research Part D - Transport and Environment (Elsevier); Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives (Elsevier), and Sustainable Mobility and Transport (Nature). To date, Antonio Pascale has contributed to more than 30 revisions of scientific papers.
